Weaving works hops

A series of weaving workshops for teenagers constituted a very important stage in a process of discovering and learning local tradition.

Not only contemporary weavers, who call themselves folk artists but also experts found with the help of archival documents got involved in a process of conducting workshops. The experts showed their own technique of making weaves, which is so meticulously stored in the State Archives.

Weaving workshops introduced the young participants to the design of „Świętokrzyskie weaving mill”, which was based on source traditions. The participants were also introduced to techniques of weaving fabrics, runners and kilims with the use of traditional methods on old looms kept on tourism farms.
